Master jeweler Peter Carl Fabergé (Russian, 1846–1920) is celebrated for his precious objets d’art, including magnificent jewelry, clocks, enamel cigarette cases, boxes, and picture frames.

Three gold frames with exquisite guilloché enamel in the Museum’s collection (two made before 1899; one made ca. 1899–1908) are the sources for our charming photo frame ornaments.
